Blindness Opens at Cannes

...to decent to medicore reviews. Of course, everyone has something nice to say about Moore, but the film itself...nothing special, unfortunately. I hate to say this, but I'm not surprised. The trailer looked a little underwhelming. My prediction is that Moore gets maybe a Globe nod or something, and that's that. Sigh.

Oh well, we'll just look to the rest of the lineup.

Not exactly, that's the kind of reception for Atonement last year in Venice and received seven nominations or La vie en rose with that absolute meh in Berlin and even Marion Cotillard won that Oscar. Julianne Moore and Gael Garcia Bernal could get nomiantions to Oscar, especially Moore. Moore has an intersting view for nomination for Blindness and Savage Grace. I have hope with her

Brian, by the way, do you forget how happen exactly to Moulin Rouge! 7 years ago? Luhrman's film opens Cannes Film Festival. The critics in Cannes had mediocre to negatives reviews and anyone could think that film received more attention, and after that the film received nine nominations including Best Film and Best Actress to Oscars...
Or Moulin only receive a Golden Globe nomination to Kidman?

No need to be a smart ass, anonymous. You're just making yourself look dumb.
