It's a real shame The Road won't contend this year. This was the movie I wanted to see this season especially since I read the novel. I hope the Weinsteins will be able to market it for next year.

I think I agree with Daniel for the most part, but don't you have to leave a slot for Debra Winger in Jonathan Demme's new film? She has some really powerful moments, and I don't think she's ever won anything despite a fine career. Maybe she IS a difficult as Shirley MacLaine says!
