They went crazy for There Will Be Blood. There Will Be Blood's win was essential to staying in the race. After NBR's shut out and some bad word of mouth, it finally has some (great) justification for being a good film as well as helping out Day-Lewis and PTA. The Supporting Actor win was a huge surprise, but I wouldn't take it for anything unless he gets one or two more wins. Even then, it would be unlikely. I'm very happy about Cotillard's win, loved her performance. The Diving Bell and the Butterfly continues to do very well. But, isn't it odd that it was the runner up for Best Picture yet it lost Foreign Film?

And one more thing...

Amy Ryan is on fire. Not literally, obviously.

Wait! How does The Diving Bell and the Butterfly win runner-up for Best Picture to one film aka it's the second best film of the year, yet lose Best Foreign Film to a different movie?
