New York Film Critics Circle. Here we go:

Best Picture: No Country for Old Men

Best Actress: Julie Christie, Away from Her
Best Supporting Actor: Javier Bardem, No Country for Old Men
Best Supporting Actress: Amy Ryan, Gone Baby Gone
Best Screenplay
: Joel and Ethan Coen, No Country for Old Men
Best Cinematography
: Robert Elswit, There Will Be Blood
Best Documentary: No End in Sight
Best Foreign Film: The Lives of Others
Best Animated Film: Persepolis

Special Critics' Award
: Charles Burnett, Killer of Sheep


I think this might be what the remainder of the awards are going to look like. Not that I'm complaining!

But, I do wish that Johnny Depp or Sweeney Todd could get some more recognition. Although I do understand that it isn't really critics' awards type...it would be nice for some reassurance. Also, speaking of reassurance, Amy Adams needs a win. Soon. Golden Globe nominations on Thursday should fix both of those problems though.
