2nd Annual Oscar Obsession Honors: Nominees

Before we get started, just a few things:

-The only techs I'm doing are Cinematography and Film Editing. This is not at all because the other technical areas don't deserve to be honored; it is simply because I want every film to be eligible in every category, or else have an equivalent category (unless it is an acting award). Because some tech categories do not necessarily determine the quality of every film, I'm leaving them out.

-I saw 49 films this year, HOWEVER, I went to the movie theater 35 times. I saw the additional 14 films either by renting them on DVD, or because my mom and grandmother get SAG Award consideration screeners. Trust me, I do not have the time and money to go to the movies 48 times in a year.

-I never saw Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Eastern Promises, The Savages, American Gangster, Zodiac or 4 Months, 3 Weeks & Two Days.

Let's begin with the Honorary categories. These categories do not count for the final nomination tally, as not every film is eligible for them, and the winners will be announced right here and now.
